Face mask requirement is today’s reality to prevent a second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately, many of our citizens are financially challenged to regularly purchase masks and replace them every few hours, as recommended by the Ministry of Health. Since personal protection items are pretty much overpriced in almost all drug stores across the country, many pensioners and other needy citizens use a single mask throughout the entire quarantine period. Alternatively, some craftsmen sew homemade masks from materials that do not provide protection against viruses and bacteria.
Realizing the roots of the problem, Aster-UA Charity Fund volunteers did not stand aside and took to the streets to hand out protective face masks.
“We chose crowded places, as well as parks, squares, and bus stops. Today we did it at a mini market spot on Hrushevsky Street. We are happy we did this job and people appreciated it.” – said the Head of the Ukrainian Charity Fund “Aster-UA”.
